Rumour has it, Silvia S16 is on its Way!

Nissan Silvia's fans are increasingly growing and what else would we expect considering the impressive aftermarket support the rwd coupe received. On a special press conference it was reported that Nissan is working on new rear wheel drive coupe. A new and improved Nissan silvia s16 is on its way.

The new Silvia is expected to be more niche-specific, with enhanced design and 2.0l engine that while resembling the VQ has improved efficiency that translates to the impressive 217lb per ft torque and over 200bhp.

Apart from the 2.0l engine, the 1.8l Mercedes engine used to power the Mercedes’ C180 will be also suitable to fit Silvia with its scope to hit 156bhp at 1600rpm and 15484lb/ft of torque at 4200rpm.
Engineers from Renault and Nissan created Silvia’s rear wheel drive coupe and front-seated engine jointly, clarified the brand in recent publications.

There is no doubt that the looks of the 2017 Nissan Silvia S16 are going to be spectacular. The car has made some waves in terms of it being spectacularly designed already and if we were to base our expectations on the concept, it is going to be a good one. The end product has still not arrived yet, but based on the current announcements and the details revealed the car is going to focus a lot on its bodywork in order to come up with a spectacular outcome. While we are yet to discover the official pricing and release date of Nissan Silvia S16, specialists have estimated that the price would be around $36,000 and that the car will be ready for us to test-drive near the end of summer 2018. If the rumours become true this will be a very good price for a rear wheel drive coupe, especially if we talk about the Nissan Silvia S16 .
