6 Famous Cars that only look Fast but...??

Hello readers !! this time I will give information about 6 Famous Cars that only look Fast but aren't, It bewilders us that automakers can decide to design cars that are so stylish and sporty-looking that the last thing that could cross your mind is that they are incredibly slow. We get it, manufacturers want to create gorgeous cars, but once you have a look under the hood you end up being utterly disappointed in regards to how ordinary and slow they actually are. Let’s have a look at a few of those rides and their specifications and if you have any other suggestions to add to our list, please do so in the comments below.

mitsubishi lancer gt

1. Mitsubishi Lancer GT

The problem with the Mitsubishi Lancer is that it brings to mind the Evolution and the fact that the Evolution was discontinued doesn't help much. Why? Because you somehow end up expecting much more from the Lancer, which in reality is just an ordinary sedan vehicle that only carries the legacy of high-performance and turbocharged power, but doesn't live up to it. The midsize sedan comes with a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces merely 148 hp, with the ‘fastest’ model within the range, sporting a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 168 hp, number not even close to the 291-hp produced by Evolution’s turbocharged engine.
toyota celica

2. Toyota Celica

Toyota Celica is not the famous sports car, but it has its fans all over the world. The looks of the last Celica promised a great sports car, but once you went behind the wheel all you could feel was massive disappointment. The U.S. version of the Celica received a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that turned only 140 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque, while its supposedly more powerful version - GT-S produced merely 180 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque. To put this in context, just think Scion tC, whose engine turned 179 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque and was considered slow.
2016 mazda miata mx5

3. 2016 Mazda Miata

2016 Mazda Miata Mx5 model looks great! And similarly to the 2016 Mazda 6 coupe, the new Miata in many ways look like a great sports ride, something that its previous generations lacked. The thing is, it can feel fast when you’re driving it in a straight line, but it’s strength is lies in the corners. Geared with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 155 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, don’t expect people to turn after you on the road. But then when the road gets curvier – be ready to shine. Some would argue that the MX-5 Miata is far from fun to drive, but then it’s so light and responsive that it should be giving you enough of a pleasurable drive to at least make you smile.

Honda cr-z

4. Honda CR-Z

The Honda enthusiasts were hoping that the Honda CR-Z will be the true successor to the CR-X. But then we found out that it would be a hybrid that even failed to give great fuel economy numbers (39 mpg on the highway). Despite its sporty and aggressive design, the CR-Z produced only 130 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed manual transmission, and only 127 lb-ft of torque with the CVT. The car ended up being neither sporty nor fuel efficient, which is probably why you can no longer see it in the automaker’s lineup.
deLorean DMC-12

5. DeLorean DMC-12

The DeLorean DMC-12 gained popularity thanks to Back to the Future, but interestingly, the car itself wasn't even that fast – it was its gullwing doors that made it look the part. The original model received a 2.8-liter V6 engine, turning only 130 hp, but there is still hope! Rumour has it that the next model will receive the original design and hopefully a modern V6 power plant turning from 350 to 400 hp. Only then, the Dorlean will actually become as fast as it looks…it’s another question that its looks are a little bit old-school.
Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86

6. Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86

When we talk modern sports cars, the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ win the sports title based on looks. Soon we might be thinking of the FR-S as the Toyota 86, but this can’t make up for the fact that it’s straight-line performance fails to impress. Its 2.0-liter Boxer engine produces 200 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque in the BRZ, while the 86 churns out 205 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque. Neither of them are great and that fact that they are fun to drive and handle great just make us all wonder what if we they updated this and that.
