SUBARU REVEALS THE STI SPORT WAGON

Subaru has finally unveiled the STI version of the Levorg wagon, which does not offer more power, but only a few STI parts combined with a few styling and handling upgrades. Maybe that’s not what we expected, but overall it does not look bad at all.Subaru-Levorg-STI-01 Starting with the exterior, the wagon features STI badging on the front and rear of the car, a new front bumper and grille, chrome exhaust tips, LED fog lamps and dark grey multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels.


The interior has been revised and now features STI Sport-specific Bordeaux and Black leather seats with STI logos embroidered in the headrests.

There’s also dark-red contrast stitching on the console, steering wheel and gear lever plus STI door sill plates. In terms of performance, the Levorg shares some specs with the 2016 STI hatchback , the company left the already known engines, the 1.6-liter with 168 horsepower, and the 2.0-liter turbocharged unit with 296 horsepower. Both are paired exclusively to an automatic Lineartronic and a 6 speed manual with awd 4 wheel drive.

 The Levorg STI Sport Wagon also benefits from uprated springs, a revised steering setup and a specially tuned version of Subaru’s DampMaticII variable damping suspension, for which we can say are the only true performance improvements. Yet another decent car in the Subaru models history .

The wagon comes standard with the security package that include the latest Subaru’s EyeSight safety system. It features stereoscopic cameras that monitor the road ahead and offer collision warning, autonomous braking, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.The Levorg STI Sport is on sale this summer in Japan, while its arrival in other markets is unknown at this moment.

On the outside, the Levorg STI Sport gets a new front bumper and grille, LED fog lamps, chrome exhaust tips and the addition of an optional WR Blue Pearl paint, while inside, there are two-tone black and dark-red leather seats with STI logos embroidered in the headrests and dark-red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, gear lever and door panels.

The new Levorg STI Sport is available in Japan with prices set at 3,488,400 Yen (equal to $32,500) for the 1.6T and 3,942,000 Yen ($36,700) for the 2.0T.

Now you can have it all. The power to rule the world and the space to make every journey comfortable at a somewhat reasonable price. Imagine having your wife, the kids and a large drawer in the back.  You drop your wife at work, kids at school and the drawer at their grandma’s house and drive back home like a lunatic sat on a wasp in a 4x4 4 wheel driving beast ! Now the only thing Subaru has to do is release a Subaru WRX forester .
